Our client modernizes capital markets for asset managers, banks and SMEs. The product suite is akin to a “Shopify” and includes issuance, secondary trading, automated compliance, cap table management and custody. All products can be white labeled to allow anyone to become their own issuer and market operator. They offer a comprehensive blockchain solution that reduces 50-70% of administrative overhead in middle and back offices by automating compliance, reporting, data reconciliation, cap table management, corporate actions, liquidity & more.
The mission is to democratize access to capital markets and create an efficient financial system that affords equal opportunity to all market participants. The product will be in beta stage in July 2021 and anticipates being awarded MAS licensing in Singapore by the end of Q3 2021.
Launched in September 2018, the company raised $7.5M in a seed round. With the global headquarters in Singapore and the European headquarters is in Frankfurt, they have a globally distributed team of 11 people based in the US, Europe and Asia. Now it's time to start building Global marketing channels and actively approach clients in the institutional finance sector, including asset managers, banks and SMEs.
Chief Marketing Officer
You will be a member of our Executive team reporting directly to the CEO and will be responsible for the company’s core marketing strategy and share the responsibility to drive growth. You will be responsible for hiring, managing and scaling the marketing team.
This is a remote position as the team will be global as the company scales to other jurisdictions. You will be working directly with the executive team located in the United States and Europe as well as the sales team who will initially be based in Singapore.
What will you be doing?
You will be the voice of the organisation, driving our brand and our message to our customers globally to raise awareness of our solutions as well as creating Sales opportunities to stimulate growth. You will be taking full ownership of our global online presence and customer acquisition channels. To be successful, you have an understanding of the needs of the institutional audience we service - how they think/can use their language. You can engage external providers where necessary, e.g. for PR outreach, etc.
Responsibilities:
Be the point of contact for all Marketing and Branding topics. Build and Increase brand awareness.
Own and efficiently define and scale a marketing/sales budget, allocating spending and optimizing a blend of channels to hit growth targets efficiently, while thinking long term and being resourceful
Plan, organize and execute various marketing events such as prospect and customer events (physical and digital), conferences, exhibitions
Develop and drive our External Communications strategy including PR, Analyst Relations and Social across all channels
Produce high-quality content for our customers (such as market surveys, Webinars, Whitepaper, Case Studies, Sales Decks, Blog, Videos, etc. .) that target our key verticals and buying personas with our target audience
Work with Sales Leadership and key internal stakeholders to develop Account Based Marketing (ABM) campaigns for key accounts in each market
Define, measure and report the performance of all paid marketing channels/campaigns and assess against ROI and KPI goals including subscriber acquisition and retention.
Drive our digital marketing positioning (localization of Website, SEO, SEM, Digital campaigns) and leverage partners and 3rd party vendors to build out our Marketing Technology capabilities as the company expands to target new prospects and markets
Manage customer segmentation strategy and develop smart attribution modeling, ensuring we reach the right audience with the right message, at the right place and time.
Who You Are?
A strategy and execution-focused Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) who is a proactive leader, coach and has an entrepreneurial mindset. You have experience in the traditional financial industry and/or high-growth B2B FinTech companies and are able to own all areas of B2B marketing, including but not limited to product marketing, demand generation, content marketing, branding, public relations, analyst relations, channel marketing, marketing analytics, and events.
You are looking to take the next big step in your marketing career. You will be driving a solution that will digitally transform organisations and industries globally so we need a B2B Marketing Leader who can take our team and our customers on this journey. You will be able to roll up your sleeves to get started and will have the resources to build a team, internally and externally, to help you execute on the strategy you develop.
Skills and qualities you must have:
8+ Years in a B2B leadership role, including people and agency management experience

Proven experience and success across all disciplines of marketing (product, branding, strategy, social media, communications, business development)
Strong understanding of inbound and outbound marketing for the enterprise, as well as "land and expand" B2B sales
Demonstrable experience of positioning a company in a competitive market and winning market share
Clear, respectful, effective communication skills and experience in a collaborative, transparent, and hands-on quickly scaling startup environment
High intellectual curiosity and creativity. Good listening skills. A team player.
Would be a plus:
Experience working for FinTech SaaS company
Network of prospective clients and industry contacts (Fintech and/or traditional finance)
Experience in cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology
