Director of Sales

As Director of Sales, you will work alongside an ambitious global team of entrepreneurs and industry experts that want to democratize financial opportunity and help create innovative business lines in finance. You will build the sales function from the ground up, with an opportunity to take on the CEO role in Singapore as the company expands.

As a member of our executive team, you will be reporting to the Founder. The role is based in Singapore with a global team as the company scales to other jurisdictions and employees in the United States and Europe.

What will you be doing?

You will have full ownership of the management and productivity of sales, defining a sales playbook, developing and executing strategic plans to achieve sales targets, client segmentation, etc. You will guide strategic decision-making, pricing strategy and sales budget to build a sales team. Using your “black book”, you will build a pipeline and lead sales meetings and platform demos, maintaining long-term relationships with clients to understand their needs better and optimize our services.

Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of a sales and pricing strategy across key channels, in alignment with our growth plan

  • Manage and implement the entry into the Singapore and APAC markets

  • Conduct industry analysis to guide sales strategy and product enhancement

  • Use your “black book” of contacts to drive sales and form key relationships and manage client relationships through the sales process, from lead generation, pre-sale to after-sale

  • Relationship management through the entirety of the sales cycle

  • Numbers driven approach through setting monthly, quarterly and yearly sales quotas and objectives to track progress, refine strategy and produce reports for the founding team

  • Build strategic partnerships to drive sales and lead generation

  • Occasionally act as a spokesperson for events and public appearances and drive thought leadership within the blockchain and fintech industry

  • Quickly build and lead a world-class sales team (hiring, training, setting sales targets, KPIs, performance reviews, and developing an effective sales team compensation plan)

  • Plan, execute, produce and monitor sales initiatives (content, podcasts, media, decks, presentations, sales events, webinars, etc.) across channels to support our brand, community, and partners alongside C-Level

  • Responsible for developing sales budget to support the sales team and initiatives

  • Work with Sales Leadership and key internal stakeholders to develop Account Based Marketing (ABM) campaigns for key accounts in each market

Who You Are?

You are a startup-minded, driven, ambitious and experienced individual with a minimum of 10 years in financial services, preferably extensive sales management experience, that wants to expand their horizons by helping lead the transition to blockchain technology. 

You have a strong understanding of software sales, team management, relationship management, issue/lead tracking, marketing and pricing strategy. Your knowledge of the financial industry allows you to communicate the value of our technology to clients effectively. You have deep listening, negotiation and presentation skills with the proven success of driving the sales process through the life cycle of B2B sales. 

  • Track record positioning a company in a competitive market and winning market share

  • Network of prospective clients and industry contacts (Fintech and/or traditional finance)

  • A team player with a clear, respectful, effective communication style in a collaborative, transparent, and hands-on quickly scaling startup environment

  • Experience working for FinTech/SaaS company

  • Experience in cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology is preferred but not necessary.
